Anyone work at Tax Credits HQ?

I usually get paid my tax credits on a friday.

I just checked my bank and because im with Natwest who open on saturdays they process mondays incomings yesterday. It is saying i am being paid money from tax credits on monday.

i got paid on friday as usual so don't know why i have had this extra miney paid in.

tax credits are so prone to cock ups i'm scared to use it but if its some unexpected windfall it will come in very handy at the mo.

anyone got any idea's as to what its about? I did send off my renewal forms recently, could it be linked to that?

New tax year? I bet you will get your next months, 4 weeks from now.

I got my tax credits early because of bank holiday.

Just ring them up, they will confirm your last 2 payments and the next time one is due.

I haven't had my renewal forms yet. Should I be chasing do you think?

Renewal forms are sent out between april and june(?) i think? I didn't get mine until end of May last year.

i've had the renewal notice but done nothing yet. each time i have renewed, i have had abit extra soon after.

agree totally that hmrc are quite useless sometimes so a phonecall to check would be most wise. if it's a mistake, even theirs they will expect you to pay it back.

If your income was lower that what you estimated or what was generated on system when you sent your renewal in then tc will have owed you money. You would get this money in an one off payment when your claim was finalised.
So thats probs what it is. You will probably get a final desicion notice through the door telling you in the next few days. Give them a ring to check though just to be on the safe side!

I wouldnt start chasing yet, the deadline for getting your renewal back is 31st july, you will get yours soon, plenty of time yet!
