Hello, I am receiving SMP from my employer but feel that it is not enough and I have been using the calculators online but find it all a bit confusing.

Can someone tell me how much you receive per month from your employer if you are only receiving the statutory £123.06 a week?

I receive £492.65 most months but have received £577.58 for two months (since August 2009 when I started my leave). I understand that they will take into account the longer months but shouldn't it be more even over the 33 week period (i am not including the first six weeks in this either).

Please advise if you don't mind

I can't see what's wrong?

You would expect to be paid a total of 123.06*33 = 4060.98.

Assuming you have had 2 months of 577.58 and 6 months of 492.65, you have been paid a total of 4111.06 - more than your allowance.

How many months have you been paid 492.65 for?
