Is six months really acceptable bra lifespan???

I bought a feeding bra in September.

The clasp has worn THROUGH the strap, so the strap has completely snapped - not stitching or anything, full broken mid strap.

Company says it is 6 months old therefore no refund or exchange.

Am I seriously only meant to expect a bra to last 6 months? Would complaining to manufacturer help?

Well I suppose it depends how many bras you have to rotate around... how often have you worn it and washed it? If you are washing and wearing every other day, then 6 months is a long life for something made of lycra.

On the other hand, if you have many, many bras and this one has only been worn and washed once every 2 weeks, then I would expect it to last longer than 6 months.
