sure start maternity grant query??

I am waiting on my child tax credit application to come through which is taking ages!!

and was just wondering if I am entitled to claim for the sure start maternity grant it might not be processed in time as my baby is just over a month old now and i know how long these things take.

I was just wondering if I should make a claim anyway before my baby is 3 months old & before I know how much child tax credit I am going to get so I dont miss out on this if I am entitled to it?

Does anyone know how this works ?? any advice appreciated .x

Apply now. Put in notes that you are awaiting CTC award. The main thing is you can get the claim in within the time limits. You can always ask for a reconsideration if disallowed cos of CTC.
