Has anyone had overpayments made to them and if so, what did you do about repaying it?

I've just checked my online banking and noticed that two payments were made yesterday, one for a relatively small sum and one much larger. Definitely from CB.
Another payment for an even larger amount today but as yet it is just showing as a credit and it doesn't show who from. Have to assume also from CB.

Very odd as not currently claiming as abroad. Have claimed on and off over recent years but had written to say no longer claiming some time ago.
And now I get payments!

can't phone them as abroad and can't dial 0845 numbers from here and certainly not phoning from my mobile to pay silly money just to be on hold. Will obviously have to write to them but wondered if this has happened to anyone else and how they've sorted it out.

Go on the money experts website, he was on GMTV a week ago talking about this, he said if you have a change in circumstances and you tell them, either by phone or email (take the name of the person you talk to or keep a copy of the email) and they over pay you they DONT have the right to claim it back, although Im not sure about your circumstance i.e. i dont know what happens when you tell them they over paid you but check out his website

Thanks, really helpful, just out shopping now but will have a look later and should be able to find out from bank today who the third payment was from.
