I would like to open an account for my dd who is 14. Do you have any suggestions of what might be the best for her? Any information I can find online seems to be about savings accounts - which is good... but she will more-likely need an everyday account where she can take out small amounts of cash as she needs.

DD1 had a Nationwide savings account with a cash card - they do those for over 11s. You can't use it in shops, DD1 is now 16 so will transfer to Barclays as they do an account that you cannot take overdrawn but can use in shops (presume it's an Electron card).
