I am struggling with three dcs and no maintenace from exdp. I have just cashed in a children's saving plan into which I have been paying a small sum each month since the birth of ds - thy have sent me a cheque made payable to him? It's for £980

Any ideas how to cash it? I want to keep a roof over our heads!

Can you just open a bank account in his name? You would then be able to withdraw the money as you have control ofthe account until he is 16/18. My DC's accounts are linked to mine and come up when I log in to my account on the internet so I can easily make transfers between the accounts.
