Delivery not arrived but apparently signed for

hi all,

hoping some wise MNetters can help me. I bought some stuff from the All Saints sale, which hadn't arrived, so I emailed them, only to find out that it had apparently been signed for by someone at my address. There's only me and DH (and 1.5 year old DS!) at home and i know it didn't arrive. We have a few estate blocks around us and am wondering whether it has found its way to someone in one of those, but have no way of finding out.

My main worry is - will i get my money back? I would have liked to have got that All Saints stuff as well, as its all sold out now too..

this happened to me in december (boots, not all saints. i found out because of online tracking service.
if there s no tracking service - complain and keep complaining until you get somewhere .
if you paid by credit card you should be covered, if over a certain amount.

Ask to see the copy of the signature..... The delivery people have them so ask to see it and then you can prove its not yours.

This happened to me once when I ordered a camera from Amazon - apparently the item had been signed for. When I asked for further details, they replied saying the signature was "porch". I pointed out that as we don't even have a porch, it looks like the item has been left for some lucky bugger at another address (probably a street nearby with similar name I reckon). Amazon refunded immediately.
