Quick child tax question

Found out that I am entitled to child tax credit. I've sent of the forms a couple of weeks ago. The 'back pay' that I am entitled to will be desperately needed as I have taken a year of work and now my SMP has finished so I am on zero income .

Anyway - no news yet. From your experience - how long does it take to get money as will have to start eating value noodles every night soon.

I found them very quick with me. If you do not hear something soon, give them a bell in my opinion...

from my experience, the money will arrive in your account days/weeks before the letter comes to tell you how much you're going to receive!

Yes, they are definitely prone to dumping money in your account without prior explanation!

definately worth ringing them as they most likely will have assessed your award by now and will be able to tell you the date of the first payment.

Thanks for the advice - I rang them and they cannot find my application. Hopefully - I will get some result soon. My overdraft facility is going to have to take a bashing in the meantime!
