Now I know Martin Lewis does a lot to help people save their money

but

I am the only person who finds this a cynical and manipulative way to generate more supscriptions?

The more subscribers he has, the more attractive he is to advertisers, the more money he makes etc.

Using such a shocking tragedy to increase your business is beyond mercenary.

Mumsnet (for they know how to behave) have given up potential ad revenue to put the DEC ad on their pages for free. They have not only done it if we get our mates to join.
