Child trust fund???????

Hello I had a baby 7 weeks ago and am just now trying to sort out money stuff. I haven't received any information about the child trust fund and was hoping someone might be able how to get it??? Thank you

Hi, congratulations on your baby.

Have you applied for child benefit? the CTF payment is triggered by the child benefit application. Once child benefit has been awarded, the child benefit department send yours (and your child's) details over to the CTF department who will (eventually) issue the voucher. It does take a long time so make sure you've applied for your child benefit and if you haven't heard anything by around 2 months after its been awarded, chase it up.
