How do I get dollars in small bills?

I went to change my money & was offered $20 bills - I want smaller amounts to pay tips with

Is there a bank who will provide smaller bills or let me choose when I change my money?

That's good news re your auntie but last time I changed money here (local post office) I just asked for a mixture of bills, including $20 of small bills. I think I got 10x$1 bills in there and 2x$5.

If necessary in the future you can just order in advance.

My PO wouldn't order them for me as they 'hold' them & they said I couldn't request small bills.........
