Have you tried your local CAB? Some charities collect furniture and sell it for small amounts, there's also freecycle if you are on this, you have to join, people give things away (for free) that they no longer need, you just reply to the email and you may be lucky. Charity shops sometimes sell furniture aswell so it's worthwhile hunting around, also try your local newspaper classifieds section.

why did they reject you???

whereabouts are you?

FluffyForLifeNotJustForXmas · 05/12/2009 22:09

I've never known freecycle to reject people, the aim of it is to reduce stuff going to landfill and create a community where people help each other out, try asking again and using this as your reason for joining.

usually you can't post a want ad on freecycle until you have given something away but that doesn't stop you replying to ads
