Did you all get your Tescos voucher early today? Nice Christmas Present or cynical ploy to make you spend at Tescos?

The Nov mailing? I got mine about 2/3 weeks ago.

sillysalley · 30/11/2009 21:01

I got mine today, nice surprise IMO.

I have £70 of vouchers saved for my Christmas shop!

feedthegoat · 30/11/2009 21:02

Of course its to try and get you to spend them in Tesco.

They're probably sick of us all spending them on deals. Which is exactly what I'm going to do with the ones I received today. They are going away with the others to pay for next years holiday!

Yeah, I got mine a few weeks ago as well.

Katymac · 30/11/2009 21:05

No Chasingsquirrals there was an 'extra' one today

Sillysalley - Are you sure you are going to spend them on stuff??

Feedthegoat - holiday here I come I know have £413 - who knows how much that will be closer to the summer

I didn't realise there were some due
If I get some I'm thinking of using them to see Avatar.
(I think it's around £21 for me and DH to go and see a 3D film in the evening)!

feedthegoat · 30/11/2009 21:07

Thats fantastic Katymac. It would definately be a shame to waste those at face value!

Ponders · 30/11/2009 21:10

yep, got my extras - only £6.50 - have tucked away with the rest for deals later on. (They weren't "due" & have an expiry date of Feb 2012 - they seem to derive mostly from the 2-for-1 points they've been doing lately)

My total now is only c £70 though - but have paid for 2 lots of eurotunnel, & RAC family membership (with bells & whistles) for 5 family members - in the last 9 months or so

ChasingSquirrels · 30/11/2009 21:14

so where have they "come from"?

Katymac · 30/11/2009 21:22

Just like normal vouchers but labelled 'early for Christmas'

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 30/11/2009 21:24

oh.
Just checked my account and it says I have 234 points due in the Jan mailing.
Guess I'm not getting an extra.

Katymac · 30/11/2009 21:35

Oh what a shame - I thought the normal statements were due in Feb anyway

Sorry CS

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 30/11/2009 21:57

I meant Feb - lol.
I used them for deals and have heaps, so it doesn't really matter when they come.

BexJ78 · 30/11/2009 22:04

We never use them in the store, but always convert them to deals for meals out, dvd hire, dry cleaning etc...so they won't be getting any more spending out of us!!!!!

mine turned up today - £50! (although a good proportion of that was the credit refund on a Nov-09 voucher that I redeemed online). No wonder I only had £2 showing online.

Katymac · 05/12/2009 21:31

Wow£50

I only got £32.50

OP posts:
curryfreak · 08/12/2009 15:35

Got mine last week. £6.50. Will be stashing them awaywith the rest to use for deals.
Anyone know how much you would need to convert to pay for eurotunnell?

PuppyMonkey · 08/12/2009 15:44

I got mine last week. £7.50 which I spent the best way possible - putting them towards two bottles of wine.
