Csa questions...

Looking for a little advice... I am being (almost) harassed by my ex, who is demanding I write to the CSA to say that I will accept a payment of £20 per week from him. It seems they are deducting a large amount from his wages, and he seems to think this will stop if I accept his £20 a week. I assume if I did accept this, I would lose the same amount from my child benefit, leaving me to rely on him actually paying, which considering his track record, I would rather not do.
Am I correct in thinking that he will not be able to stop the CSA deducting from his wages by simply giving me £20 a week? As he has never paid child support for the last 12 years, I assume they are looking to get back years worth of payments.
I need some facts to get him off my back!
