Right i have a contract (dh sorted it for me)

its £9 a month

my email bill just came, it says £40.09

i NEVER use the frigging thing :O

the odd call and txt but im supposed to have 100 free of each anyway,

WTF??

IVE JUST LOOKED ON RECENT CALLS , ALL ARE £0:00

my previous 2 months have been £8ish & £7ish

urghh DH is gonna kill me

I would call them as it's an anomaly. They may be able to see where the charge has come from, like an accidental redial.

Have you browsed the internet on it or anything? You need to look at the itemised bill.
