Question about NHS Exemption certificate

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but couldn't see where to put it
I'm a single mum and have just received an exemption certificate for NHS treatment. I know i get free prescriptions, but i'm due an eye test next week and wondered how it works with optitions
Any help would be appreciated xx

You get free test, and a discount on glasses or contacts, up to a certain amount (dont know what limit is though). Ive never been asked to show my card, but bring it with you anyway.
