I have no contact with my mother but I know there is a old barclays account with our names on it, in which there is some money. I have no details whatsoever for the account, i just know it exsists and that there is money in it.

is there any way of accessing the money? without her permission?

she has offered the money, but since i have not seen her for 10yrs i do not want to ruin my life, by trying to access it through her IYSWIM

I will bump it up for you-I would have thought that as soon as you are 18yrs it would be yours.
