How long does it take for child benefit to be processed?

Hi,
I had my twins 7 weeks ago, but couldn't get an appointment to register them until last week. So I've only just sent the claim off and I'm already due for a fair bit backdated. I was just wondering how long it usually takes to process the claim and make payment?

mine tock about 3 weeks to get out to me, and they do back date it.
