Credit checks on tenants

I'm 7 months pregnant and seen a great little house we want to rent.

I have been to the estate agents this morning and paid £195 to run the credit checks and references. However i'm really worried that we both have bad credit which may prevent us getting the house.

I've missed a few credit card payments 6 months ago although back on track now. My partner has a few mortgage arreas.

Any advice to stop me worring untill i hear whether its all gone through at the estate agents.

If he has mortgage arrears how does he propose to pay the rent?

You can get a guarantor, parents maybe but with good credit. Be careful though as they will have to pay the rent if you miss a payment.

I watched this programme that was giving a lot of tips on how to get over a bad credit history. I do not know if that will help you but it might!

All the best, I hope your application will be accepted by the estate agent!
