But don't want the sale to be finalised until end of June (Scottish Sale). How long does it take and can I ask my solicitor to slow down a bit or can I say I've buggered off on holiday for 10 days?

We're moving aborad and waiting on one final piece of the puzzle to come together with that but it will be through no later than the end of June, probably mid june.

We never expected to get to this stage as quick.

Can you not just say that you want to exchange with completion date to be no earlier than date of your choosing?

Just explain that you need to wait until mid june, the average length of time from acceptance to offer is around 8-12 weeks so will probably be okay.

Be honest, that is the best way to hold onto your buyers!

Just ask your solicitor to negotiate a moving date that suits you.
