Wondered if anyone can enlighten me please?

DS1 was on low rate care and mobility and has been increased to mid care and low mobility

Called tax credits and they said that they don't need to know of the change unless he gets high rate care is this right?

Do you get TC payments with LR (not sure on that one)? If so then they are right as you get an extra payment voer basic when you get HR, severe disability payment.

Jambuttie · 06/05/2009 09:39

Yeah , thought though as that had changed as would TC for some reason

Oops I get high rate care for DS didn't know I had to tell them!

blushingm · 10/05/2009 21:19

it was from nothing to MR - the tc more or less matched the amount of the DLA

elvislives · 11/05/2009 20:00

Sammyk if you get high rate care you will get more tax credits because you qualify for the extra "severely disabled" element.
