Travel agents have to be members of ABTA. Does anyone know what Insurance brokers have to be members of? How can I tell if my very good offer is from a kosher company?

...plus maybe FSA - Financial Services Authority, if they are offering advice.

They are all regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). If you have a complaint you can go through the FSA or the Insurance Ombudsman.
Why do you ask?
