Just had our bill we have been paying £112 per month over the winter and this still hasn't covered it, they now want to put it up to £140 which we can't really afford.

Is this about right? it just sounds so much, it says our gas for 6 months was £650 !!!! live in 3 bed semi.

Anyone ? and the government wonder why we have no spare money to spend, SO Frustrating !!

Average of £150 pm for gas and £60 pm for electric (actual readings over last 6 mths) for 4 bed semi and that's with me being parsimonious with the CH. This house is a money pit for bills - it's modernity over period for me on our next move!

We only have electric and we pay £120 a month. It would be a lot more if we heated the house properly but we can't afford to. £120 just about covers usage through the year, but we also owe a lot from a time when they weren't charging us enough (and wouldn't believe me!). We would have been paying off some of the debt, before they raised the price of our electric by 35% last year .
