Has anyone ever written a Victim Personal Statement?

I and my family have been invited to write one concerning how we have been affected by my brother's death after a hit and run accident last year. I've simply no idea how to put into words what his death has done to me and my life.

Has anyone ever had to write one of these and could give me a hand?

Hi I have found the following that might help cjs system
home office
another site

Other than that there might be some examples online if you search/google for example statements to.

I would imagine that you are suppose to put how much he meant to you and what he use to do to make you smile and help you. How all those little things that the person does, meant the world to you and now they are no longer here that it actually is one gaping big hole that can never ever be filled. I lost my father 5 years ago and found writing down what I was feeling helped me to get through the days and weeks. I still do if I am feeling down or upset or even just want to tell him something.

It won't be easy but it may feel better (can't think of better word) once you have done something like this.
