Back down a bit now.

Any financial gurus out there want to speculate on this?

I'm waiting for the Aussie dollar to rise spectacularly again so I can release my cash from there and buy a bloody great house here (I wish!). AT least it's earning 4.7% interest.

DH has set the trigger point for the transfer to 48.5p but we've only been waiting a mere 6 or so weeks. It reached a tantalising 48.1 a couple of days ago (it's important to realise before folk think we are splitting hairs that 1p difference in the rate = 7000 quid to us!).

I can't for the life of me work out what things will cause either a rise in the dollar or fall in the relative value of GBP! There is no real correlation as far as we can see.
