DH is working for an agencgy so doesn't have a perm job as such although is working for a large company through them in fact the agency he works for has a branch in the grounds of the company......will this stop us from renewing our mortgage with the same company?

It may depend whether or not they ask. In my own experience if you aren't switching they don't but it may not be the same for all companies.

If it is with the same company, i would have thought that they will just ask which deal you want to switch to- or are you moving?

If not, in my experience they won't ask any questions as they already have you "on risk" as it were. Hubby works on contract basis etc so we took out a mortgage with Nationwide and just go with whatever is the best deal at the time...at the mo it is the Base Rate Mortgage ( thankfully didn't fix last year!)I could not face applying for a mortgage elsewhere
