... to get 4 of us day passes to Legoland. Does anybody know if there's anything I can do? Can I somehow pay the difference to Tesco in cash? Or do I just have to fork out for a full price ticket for one of the kids? (It looks from Tesco website that you need the same number of vouchers for an adult pass as a child, does anybody know if that's right?)

Thanks!

wait til next quater when u get more vouchers i guess?

or can you buy some from a freind?

AllBuggiedOut · 14/03/2009 21:40

Oh bless you Herbietea, that's very thoughtful! But I assume they're not transferable as they have your clubcard number on them.

Can't wait until next quarter - vouchers aren't due until May and we have an inset day in April when we were planning to go.

I'm not suree what you can do about the 50p but I can answer your other question - yes you need the same amount of Clubcard vouchers for an adult as for a child Legoland pass.
Can you email Clubcard help address? You could buy some from a friend - enough for one pass and ask her to apply for one of the passes.

AllBuggiedOut · 14/03/2009 21:57

Thanks, yes I'll try contacting Clubcard. Odd about the price, though, as the child tickets are £9 cheaper usually...

Can you get a friend to buy you a pass using their vouchers and you can either pay them cash or return the favour when your next lot come out in may.

Find out if they are "days out" vouchers or specifically Legoland. If they are non specific vouchers you can pay the difference at the gate - at least you could with Longleat last year. We paid for the bulk in vouchers and gave them a couple of quid when we went in.

ChippyMinton · 15/03/2009 17:35

a tip from someone who's tried it - don't use someone else's voucher on your order, as tesco will cancel the entire order and credit the vouchers back to your accounts, which you then can't use until the next mailing.
Vouchers from cards registered at the same address can be mixed though. HTH
Look out for other promotions for the fourth ticket. Lastminute.com and buyagift.com often have good deals outside the school holidays.

Fizzylemonade · 15/03/2009 18:24

Vouchers are marked for where you are going otherwise you could get a cheaper ticket for a more expensive theme park.

There isn't any way of making up the 50p I'm afraid.

AllBuggiedOut · 15/03/2009 19:22

Thanks - they are specific Legoland ones unfortunately.

That's very useful info Chippy, thanks! How come people flog their unwanted vouchers on ebay if you can't use somebody else's I wonder?

You can use somone else's vouchers although you're not supposed to! I use my mum's all the time - she orders the vouchers for me and they get sent to her address then she just gives them to me. You could ask a friend to order 1 legoland ticket for you and then you return the favour for her when the next lot come in. She would need to order them using her online account or send off he order form. The ticket will go to her and she'll have to pass it on to you. The tickets sometimes have the surname of the clubcard holder on them but I've never had a problem in the UK having mum's surname on them - used them for Butlins, Legoland and Woburn. I also use mum's vouchers for holidays abroad and I book hols in both our names to get round it. Mum just doesn't turn up on the holiday!!!
