Is there such a thing as upper probate?

Been told that a relatives will has gone to upper probate as it was so much. have also been told that there is no such thing! Can anyone help Thanks.

There is such a thing as probate, and depending on the size of the estate this may take time, as the inheritance tax bill has to be agreed and paid. But there is no such thing as "upper probate" within the England Wales system.
