Can I remove parental responsibility from xp?

I wish I had left his space on the birth certificate blank but he insisted on coming with me Ds is 8 mo and he hasn't seen him since before christmas. All of his actions prove to me that he has no intention of ever being a proper parent to ds and I am worried by the legal implications of having joint responsibility with him. Is it too late?

No you can't have his name removed or take away parental responsability.

It is sad that he doesn't come and visit - but stp winding yourself up about it, your ds has a mum who loves him and that counts for a lot.

It can be removed if he agrees to it. In future years you may re marry and new husband may want to adopt your DC. If ex agrees then it can be done that way.

you cant, but more than one person can have PR so if you meet a nice responsible man some day then you can apply for him to have PR

Thanks for the replies. I am a bit that another man can take over it iyswim but even if we both agree to remove it it can't be done. Funny old system eh?
