Is it really cheaper to have a dual power supplier? we are currently with British Gas and EDF energy. If so who would you suggest? We are in North London (Highbury) thanks

I have been looking at this over the past few days. Yes, you probably could save some money. Have a look at some of the comparison websites. There are lots of them. eg confused.com, uswitch, xelector etc.

If you find a deal you like then you just do it online with the comparison website. Watch out though because most of the cheaper deals I found have either a cancellation charge or they give you a discount at the end of a 12 month period which effectively means you are tied to it for a year.

thanks grinnypig, jsut been on uswitch and see that the cheapest are offering the discount only after 12 months!!
