Paypal fees question

If I get a friend to pay into my paypal account will I pay fees like if I was selling something on ebay?

I'm sure someone told me that you can transfer to/from friends and family with no charges but don't want to tell people to pay me and then lose out!!

yes, you do still pay charges. can they not just send you a cheque or pay by bank transfer?

Yes, I'll ask that instead - it's only going to be a pound or two each so hardly worth it but will all mount up!
