I've just run the calculator on the website and it shows me getting less money with a new baby than I was getting with one. I know that's not true [phew] but I don't understnad the charts that tell you how much you can get.

I'm not working so get the maximum, I have a 2 1/2 year old and a newborn. Anyone know how much that works out at?

Give em a ring

Family element of £545, baby element of £545, 2 x child element of £2,085. Approx £101 pw if that helps.

I've called them and changed my circumstances but they can't tell you what you will get and I'm impatient

LadyMuck, it seems I read the chart better than I thought as that was about what I thought it would be. The calculator told me something like £1050 which I can't fathom out at all and a big difference!

lookat www.entitlefto.com

I suspect that the £1050 is what you would be entitled to pro rata for the rest of the tax year?

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 23/01/2009 13:52

It says annual award on the website but even that wouldn't work out from £101 a week. Must be some sort of bug

The entitledto website was helpful and given me the £101.08 a week figure too.
