Changing banks?

Is it as easy as they say it is or will they bugger up all my standing orders and direct debits etc?

Would ensure that the new bank account is fully up and running first and with funds in it before starting the transfer process.

You have to change the standing orders yourself.

When I changed, there was one direct debit (out of about 10) that went astray, but the company understanding about it.

Sorry - the company were understanding about it. I gave them the new account details over the phone and they sorted it out.
