a friend has raised a complaint with them over running of one of their events and they have responded by cancelling her membership.

Wondering what next step is .... as its seems OTT...

I'm not sure there would be any right of appeal as it's a private club. They don't have to engage with her in any way.

Personally I would join another - who wants to be in a club that doesn't invite criticism/comments.

I have heard of this before. The best advise join another one, you may have to travel further but as LaurieFairycake said if they can't take members comments seriously why bother with them.
I was a member as a child of three clubs, due to house moves all three had a 'different' feel to them, the first one was awful. Glad we moved.

thanks for this ... she is trying to rise above it, but feels bitter at the moment.

Unfortunately the teaching is so good at pony club... that I need to get my kids into it but am dreading the snobbery!

I have a choice of 3 local to me, so will try each.
