It has come to the point where dh and i really need to go seperate ways, i am so tired of being controlled, anyway that is another story.

What i would like to find out, is where i stand, i am a SAHM to 2 dc aged 2 and 5yo, the house is in joint names but is shared ownership and we have only been here 2 yrs, it is £600 a month to pay mortgage and rent.

I would need to go onto income support prob, but what other help would i get?

What amount do you get from housing benefit for eg for 3 of us? and could it get paid directly to me so i could pay both the mortgage and rent? as if i could get so much towards it i could maybe get dh to pay some too, in order to stay where we are.

I have no idea at all what sort of amounts i would get in benefits, tax credits so would be really grateful if anyone would be willing to help me on that.

Thankyou

hi
I would look on entitledto.com
It may only give you a figure from now to April but it should give you an idea of the weekly amount.

Try and see a solicitor if you can - some first meetings are free. I was surprised at how much I was entitled to. Sol put it all down for me and what I could get/was entitled to/should fight for.
