Banks in the Isle of Man - do they use the UK sort code system?

Dh owes his mate, who lives in the Isle of Man, some money for my christmas present that was out of stock here so his mate got it for him.

Can we just send him a cheque, or do they use a different system? I don't want him to have to pay foreign cheque charges, I'd rather leave it and pay him in cash next time we see him.

Thanks

The Isle of Man is part of the UK clearing system, so you can pay by cheque or bank transfer.

Thank you, that's just what I wanted to know
