Ring them up - annoying i know, you will be hanging on the phone for ages - and they will keep it at the same amount if you explain.
They did this to us too - from £50 a month to £103!!!! I called them and didn't get angry and told them that it was completely unnecessary and they didn't put it up.

If they don't want to reduce it cancel the direct debit, set up a standing order instead. That way you have total control of the monthly amount you pay.
