TAX CREDITS

hunnybun1981 · 20/11/2008 22:19

I was a single parent and got 100 tax credits a week for over a year.

my ex partner and i always were in touch because of the children one of which has special needs

anyway we spoke to a counsellor and decided to give things another go

as soon as he moved back in with me i phoned tax credits and told them

since august i have not received a single penny

i filled in another form 2 weeks ago told them r salaries etc we would only be entitled to 80 a month but still.

its annoys because there r so many fraudsters out there i was honest and i am worse off

any advice?

I am not sure what you are asking.

I take it your partner works and that is why you were not entitled and are now entitled to £80 a month ?

well i work too always have , but what i am saying since august i have not had a single payment from them.

there r people out there doing benefit fraud people like me let them know asap of a change and dont get any money

80 a month is still a lot of money but they r not paying anything

might be slow at the moment, someone i know just got a back payment of nearly two grand as they were faffing about...shame their home was repossessed in that time

I would call them again and ask when you should expect payment. If they can't tell you when, tell them you're in the process of drafting a letter to your MP because this is causing you great distress and you need the information for him/her to take this up on your behalf.

This worked with the CSA beautifully.
