Is it illegal to fax an invoice?

Dh is self employed...
he has faxed invoices for his services on many ocassions...
a firm who he has just currently done work for claims it is illegal to fax an invoice...
Is this true?..advice pls

It's not illegal to fax an invoice afaik but some companies will only pay on an original. I would fax and post and email, anything to get it bloody paid!!

Hmmm suggest 'illegal' is another form of procrastination. If it's beyond 30 days start sending letters and making constant calls.

No it's not illegal! But it may be their policy to only pay on hard copy invoices, so if he hasn't sent one in the post, he should do so.

I echo flowerybeanbag. It's not illegal as long as your dh keeps a hard copy.
If they insist on a certified copy, then so be it.
Hope he gets paid soon!
