Does anyone have a Euro account?

Possibly a bit of a long shot, but I wondered if anyone knew much about Euro accounts. I have received a cheque in Euros for some work I did, and the only Euro account my bank offers needs a mimimum opening payment of €1000.

I may get a couple more cheques later on but not that much.

I don't have a euro account but was I am sometimes paid in euros - I just have it paid into my business account and it get's changed to sterling (probably not most cost efficient way to do it as get charged for it)
