Paying back income support

I was overpaid some income support last year. It was their fault, and they eventually conceded that it was their fault. I stupidly mislaid the letter stating that I didn't need to repay them. They are saying that they never send it and never decided this, and I still owe the money. I know I'm not making it up, I did receive it, how can I prove it?

Unfortunately you can't without the letter, keep looking !

Fiddle! Why don't they keep a copy on record, or update their notes? It is lunacy!
