Why does my bank charge me interest on my agreed overdraft?

I already pay to have the account. this month they have taken over approx £20. I'm fed up with it..

Because overdrafts aren't free! Some accounts give you an interest free element - I think we get the first £100 free.

It's opdd though because I thought pert of what I paid for was my overdraft so now I'm confused.

I thought you only got charded if you went over your limit which I'm way under.

I think it varies from bank to bank - phone and ask. You do normally get charged interest on the overdraft itself plus extra charges if you go over the limit.

sod that then, I'll move it to an 0% CC instead. lol
