Does anyone get attendance allowance please?

Hi,
I expect you are all far too young but my DH who is 67 has just been awarded it as he has cancer. I know for sure its not means tested and won`t affect my child tax credit, if I applied for carers allowance that would. I have been told that because we now get AA we might get more child tax credit, does any-one know?

have you spoken to your doctor? thats how my mum got hers then the ss were involved in assessing her.
