Tax Credit Overpayment

I got a letter from the Tax Office to say I had been overpaid on my tax credit. I have to pay it back.. It isn't a lot but I was wondering how it works. Do they send you a bill or do they take it from your wages?

Just wondering.

I think they usually pay you a bit less each month until the overpayment is repaid

when i was overpaid they would not let me do this mamaG. They continued to overpay me! and then had me set up a direct debit for the overpayment! Crazy! I dont even bother claiming now - far to much stress for 40 quid a month! Good luck gscrym! x
