Can anyone tell me where I can find out what tha various child benefits rates have been since 2001 please?

hmmmm - if I was more organise I 'would' ahve been able to get out all my 'wonderful' letters from the child benifits people telling me about the 'amazing' (NOT) 50p a week increases we seem to get each year.............hope someone else can help

From April 2001 Child Benefit is paid at the rate of £15.50 a week for the first
or only child and at £10.35 a week for all other children. ...

Only or eldest child 16.50
Only or eldest child (lone parent rate) 17.55

  • (abolished from June 1998 for new claims) Each subsequent child 11.05

Think the rates go up to £17.05 a week from the 11th April - can't place my letter offhand.

Thanks for all your help. Have just found 02/03 -£15.25 and 10.55. Child Tax Credit people are saying we've been overpaid but I have a feeling they're trying to reclaim more than they've paid us. I'm trying to work it out but as I've banked Tax Credits along with child benefit I need to separate them out for the past couple of years to see what's what. Thanks again.
