STOP PAYING FOR PREMIUIM NUMBER

LilRedWG · 07/09/2008 13:11

0844, 0845, 0870, or 0871 telephone numbers are all charged at preimum rate. To find a geographical number look
here.

This thread was prompted by someone about to call Tescos to complain about a late delivery on their premium rate number!

thanks for that LilredWG, it really anoys me when you have to use these numbers instead of local numbers

LilRedWG · 07/09/2008 19:21

I rarely use a premium rate one now and it really annoys me when I can't find an alternative.

The othewr good hting about that website is that soemtimes you are routed stariht through to an operator so no queueing

nannyL · 08/09/2008 08:45

I have been using that for YEARS

it works

sarkin · 10/09/2008 12:10

0845 is charged at local rate

prettybird · 11/09/2008 17:26

0845 is now deemed to be "premium rate" number as the old "local" rates are now so much higher than most people are being charged per call.

The new "local" rate prefix is 03xxx and will genuinely be cahrged at whatever your calling plan charges for local numbers.
