Pension. Anyone offer any guidance please?

I have an occupational pension - quite a good exployers contribution as well as mine. Assuming that I stay here until I retire I will have a projected pension fund of about 120k. But apparently that will buy me a yearly pension of approx £2500. This seems a bit low to me. Or am I missing something fundamental?

I can ring a number on the statement but I'm not really sure where to start with questions. I've had this pension for ages and I know I should keep on top of it but I've sort of pushed it to the back of my mind.

Help?

£120 K should get you about 8 K, not 2.5

see table here based on 10 k

Right. That sounds a little better. Thankyou.

There is a best buy table in the Sunday Times Money section every week, which I look at ( don't know why as I have a final salary deal)
