please help re court case

Ds was abducted at knife point, driven to a cash point and made to empty his account. He was then driven around for a while, whilst his assailants discussed whether or not to kill him. Finally he was dumped miles from anywhere.

The court case is coming up soon, and ds will have to give evidence.

Only now have the police told me they have only caught one of the suspects.

These people have ds's wallet plus his name. We have a unique surname and could easily be found.

I am terrified as the other suspect is out there somewhere.

Don't know what to do.

have you spoken to victim support? or to the police family liaison officer?

Only the dc on the case. She reckons the guy will plead guilty, but cannot be certain. she suggested i contact my local community support officer if i feel anxious. I don't feel the least bit reassured.
