Which taxes are most likely to rise to fund government spending?

All of the papers are making it clear that taxes will need to rise to fund the government’s spending. On top of this, borrowing has become more expensive for the government. Fuel bills are going up; mortgage rates are increasing, so anyone buying a house or remortgaging is going to have to find additional money.
What are they going to tax? Income tax, VAT and NI increases will be unpalatable, so what’s left? Corporate tax? Increase on alcohol, capital gains tax etc?
Thy will raise pennies. What are your thoughts?

I just really hope that the insane amount of speculation ahead of last year's budget is not repeated.

If we just took the hit and put 1-2p on the basic rate we'd be in a much better position. People hate doing it, they think its regressive etc, but the simple reality is it raises a lot, fast.

What the government needs to do is:

  1. Stop the triple lock. We can't afford this!
  2. Increase VAT to 30% on all goods, excluding food, energy and petrol.
  3. Stop send money to Ukraine.
  4. Introduce wealth (0.5% annually) for those with assets over ÂŁ10m.
